In the middle of the winter the spring is not far away.

This painting is painted in oil on canvas board, like “Warming wintersun”. The reference photos were taken on Bircher Common, Croft, Herefordshire on a beautiful winters’ day. They focus on light as many of my painings do. The sun is low but gives a beautiful warm glow on the white snow. We can only view this as the sun is partially hidden behind the darker trees, otherwise we would be blinded by the light.These two paintings are painted in oil on canvas board.
